I got a new bag today, I love it. I really like to carry all my stuff around with me everywhere I go. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to pull out a pen, or sticky note, or iPhone cable, or hockey puck when you need one. My new bag fits all this and more.
I got it mostly so I can sling my laptop and charger in it when I’m traveling. It’s a pain to take two bags with me (laptop bag and handbag). And importantly, it fits snacks and extra layers of clothing. So pretty much everything I need to be happy.
For the longest time I didn’t really carry a bag. I just had a little money purse and that was it. They were my nappy bag and toddler backpack days though. During my uni years I had a satchel (it was quite voluminous). Then I discovered the hold-all and I never looked back.
What kind of bag person are you? Are you a minimalist or a hold-all lover like me? What do you think of blokes and bags (the man bag)?

Having been a traveller for years, I always went for a large bag where I could carry everything , including the kitchen sink, when I was out of town. If anyone wanted anything, they always came to me as they knew I would have it in my bag and most times, I could oblige. It was like a treasure trove! Really hard now, coming down to a smaller size bag to fit everything in so that is why I tend to go for the ones with a million zips, pockets and secret compartments in. Only problem is the main zip wont zip up by time I finish loading it all.
Man bags, are fab and why not! Men have crap they need to carry round with them these days and pants pockets aren’t that large. There are some really nice man bags out there and I think it is becoming more accepted. I vote for man bags, women’s bags and anything else out there which would like a bag!!
My back starts to hurt if I have too heavy a bag. So I tend to keep the purse kind of small in order not to overload the bag.
